BALL
My
name is Lori Ball. I started this business in 1989 in
Alpharetta, Georgia while attending college and working
in a veterinarian
office that included a kennel. I ran the kennel portion.
I saw tons of animals who loved coming to us every season
and I also saw pets who were completely miserable being
there. I was asked a couple of times if we had anyone who
did any pet sitting. I began taking care of a few pets,
at the request of their owners, but I kept it very limited.
Since that time my business has been growing. I
have been in the Trinity area for the past six years.
I
am certified in pet CPR and First Aid. I am a member of
Pet Sitters International, licensed and insured. I have
been
involved with all types of pets for over 30 years. I have
owned rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters and worked with horses.
I know from years of experience that pets respond best
to love and affection. Nothing has ever replaced petting! I have
two dogs of my own. My oldest is 14, she is half Old English
Sheep Dog and Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Her name
is Rowdie Monster. We have a new addition to our family
who is now a year old. She is part Border Collie and
Austrian
Shepard. Her name is Rose Belle. We have a five year old
calico cat who was adopted from our local veterinarian.
Her name is Molly.
CHRISTINE
KEARNS
My
first experience with animals came when I was
very little. My grandmother had a farm in
Wisconsin and I loved to play with all the animals’ everyday
after school. Eventually my family moved to Orange
County, California and although I missed the plethora
of animals that I enjoyed on my Grandmothers farm,
I took advantage of a more urban life and started
taking care of neighborhood animals and working
for two different
veterinarians in the area. I continued with these
jobs through high school. I also received a certificate
in animal health care through the Regional Occupational
Program during my senior year. Ever since then,
I have
enjoyed working in Veterinary hospitals, kennels,
and grooming facilities. In 1998,
my family moved to Minnesota and eventually Florida,
but I stayed behind in California to take
care of all the animals I knew and loved. I missed
my family so much, but took great pride in caring for
all of the animals. I started doing in-home pet sitting
professionally in 2001 and became a co-owner of a large
pet sitting service in Orange County, California shortly
there after. I have an adorable and fun six-year-old
Boston Terrier, Hailey and a beautiful and loving seven-year-old
cat, Jackie whom I love dearly. Although I am close
to completing a double degree in Accounting and Criminal
Justice, I can’t imagine not working with animals
and their owners and I am sure that I always will.
I am so pleased and grateful to be working with Lori
and all of her furry friends. I love Florida and all
of the wildlife it has to offer and am very happy to
be living here closer to my family. I look forward
to meeting you and your furry loved ones in the future! |
